In early spring of 2012, construction broke ground for the new Wyndham Garden Hotel and Suites and Apartments by Ellicott Development Company. Located at 5195 Main Street in Amherst, NY the 6-story 220,000 square feet building will serve as both a residential and retail/hotel facility. The construction process is estimated to cost $28 million and include 33 high end apartments, 3,500 square feet of retail space, 3,000 square feet of restaurant space, a lobby, six floors of 120 hotel rooms, 25 suites, and a fitness center with an indoor pool and spa facility. The apartments range from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms and sizes range from 1,000 square feet to 2,000 square feet. In addition, there will also be a parking lot that provides 169 parking spaces for apartment owners and hotel guests. The construction process will be complete in Fall 2013. Concept Construction will be handling construction for the project.
