Ellicott Development Co. has increased its holdings by acquiring another property on Niagara Street.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk’s office, Ellicott paid $365,000 for a four-story mostly apartment building at 1287 Niagara Street. The seller was listed as Erie-Niagara Public Benefit Funding Corp., according to the clerk’s office documents.
Built in the early 1900s, the 12,768-square-foot building has a mix of apartments and some commercial space.
Development plans for the property are still being worked on, officials said.
The deal follows one Ellicott made last fall to purchase multiple properties between 1294-1300 Niagara Street and a parking lot at 1295 Niagara Street. The total purchase price was $2.375 million for the parcels formerly owned by Erie-Niagara Public Benefit Funding Corp.
In recent years, Ellicott has acquired eight parcels and properties along Niagara Street between Busti Avenue and the Peace Bridge and heading north towards the Black Rock area.
