What is “A City of Buffalo Artists Market”?
A City of Buffalo Artists Market is a one day artists market showcasing a mix of different artists from Western New York. This is the fourth December Artists Market presented in the Ellicott Square Building featuring 50+ local vendors offering unique holiday gifts for everyone on your list including yourself. The event will also feature food, music and a cash bar.
Ellicott Development Company, owner of the Ellicott Square Building and event coordinator/sponsor, hopes to create awareness and bring holiday spirit to the historic and grand building. As tradition of over 40 years, each year Ellicott Development selects a special tree to decorate in the lobby for the holiday season. On average, the tree will range in height from 25 to 30 feet tall and size alone can be completely captivating. Once decorated, the enormous tree is the perfect background for pictures and will be sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
When & Where is “A City of Buffalo Artists Market”?
The Artists Market will be held on Wednesday, December 5th from 4:30pm-8:30pm, at the Ellicott Square Building on Main Street (295 Main Street 14203) Buffalo, NY. This holiday market is open to the public and a free event.
Who runs the Artists Market?
A City of Buffalo Artists Market is coordinated by the Marketing Department of Ellicott Development. The market was founded in 2015 by Caitlin Krumm, Jessica Kane, Michael Smith, Jenna Hornberger and Marie Mauro.
Who can apply?
We are searching for vendors who make their own handmade products; food vendors, artists and craft vendors which feature original pieces from local talents. All vendors must have a New York State tax ID number to sell at the market.
How do I apply?
The December Artists Market applications will be opening starting Friday, September 28th. All applications are reviewed, and vendors are selected based on product quality and category availability. No guarantee spots for past participations. Late applications will not be accepted after October.
Please complete the application and submit to us along with requested supporting materials to be considered for the 2018 December Artists Market. Sending an application does not guarantee acceptance. After review and acceptance by Ellicott Development, you will be notified in early November. Upon acceptance you will have 10 days to decide if you will join us at the event and pay required table space fee. If we don’t hear from you or receive payment within 10 days, the offer to participate in the 2018 event will be cancelled.
There is a $75 table fee for each accepted vendor. If accepted, payment is due ASAP.
How big is each vendor’s space?
Each vendor will be provided with an 8 feet table as well as linen and chair (if wanted & notified on application). Each table is lined up on top of each other, so no extra tables are allowed.
Parking for vendors will be free in EDC parking lots the night of the event.
