Thinking of something different to do this year with your mom for Mother’s Day? How about on the day before Mother’s Day, Saturday, May 12th, bringing your mom to A City of Buffalo Artists Market? This special outing for you and your mom begins in Downtown Buffalo sipping mimosas as you stroll through the historic grand lobby of the architectural treasure that is the Ellicott Square Building, transformed, for one day, into an exciting shopping soirée.
Spring has arrived in Buffalo and, keeping in step, A City of Buffalo Artists Market will once again bring over 50 talented artists and artisans to the spectacular Ellicott Square Building. On Saturday, May 12th, the biannual event, hosted by Ellicott Development Company, owner of the Ellicott Square Building and organizers of the event, invites visitors to the one-day market extravaganza. This year visitors will enjoy live music, a cash bar, a private seating brunch buffet, and a free yoga class. Yes, free yoga, Caitlin Krumm, director of marketing at Ellicott Development and event coordinator, confirmed,
“We are offering a free hour-long yoga class at 1pm in the Main Street lobby hallway of the Ellicott Square Building during the event. Even if you’re just a beginner you can learn new yoga styles and feel inspired. Megan Castlevetere, a highly skilled instructor of Raw Renewal Yoga will be here to connect with you and guide you through each pose. We can fit 25 people in the class so be sure to sign up before it’s all booked.”
Added to the venue, you can enjoy a brunch buffet with private seating complete with an open bar on the second floor of the Ellicott Square Building for the duration of the event with food catered from The Grove. Brunch tickets cost $15 with $1 of every ticket sold being donated to A City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. (If you are joining us for brunch, reservations not are required but are strongly recommended). As a bonus, the first 100 people to buy a ticket will receive a FREE #thisisbuffalo T-shirt.
“We’ve had such an overwhelming response from both the vendors and the public to continue the Spring market – it just keeps growing with fun, tremendous attractions. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite events to work on,” Krumm and her associates agreed with wide smiles.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 12th. Plan your visit to downtown Buffalo; step inside the Ellicott Square Building to see one of Buffalo’s historic sites for our family friendly market, open to the public 11am – 3 pm and will showcase the works and the talents of a diverse array of artists and artisans; enjoy live music, yoga, food, and a cash bar – all under one amazing roof! #thisisBuffalo #ArtistsMarket
