The Buffalo Bills have a new “home” hotel for the team on nights before games at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The team has partnered with Ellicott Hospitality Co., an affiliate of Ellicott Development Co., to house the Bills players, coaches and staff at the just-opened 120-room Wyndham Garden Hotel & Residence at the Mosey. The first Wyndham in Erie County is located on Main Street in Amherst.
Terms on the multi-year deal were not disclosed.
“Ellicott Development’s extensive presence and encompassing portfolio throughout the greater Western New York area makes this partnership a no-brainer for our organization,” said Bruce Popko, Bills’ senior vice president of business development. “The Mosey is a beautiful property and we’re confident the team will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.”
As part of the partnership package, Ellicott Hospitality’s staff will be allowed to work the parking lots around Ralph Wilson Stadium, handing out giveaways and promotions to tailgaters.
In addition, during the game, Ellicott Hospitality will award one row in Ralph Wilson Stadium with gift certificates to one of its properties.
“We are thrilled to have been named as the team hotel of the Buffalo Bills, as well as a proud sponsor of the Bills for the next several years,” said William Paladino, Ellicott Development Co. CEO. “The Bills are an integral piece of the past, present and future identity of the Western New York area and we look forward to being aligned with such a presence in the community.”
Ellicott Hospitality is also participating in a variety of fan-related activities over the course of the coming seasons.
The Wyndham is one of two new hotels Ellicott has in development in Amherst. The company is developing a Staybridge Inn along Sweet Home Road as part of a mixed-use project it is working on with Bevilaqua Development.
