Hotel Front Desk Agent: Ellicott Hotels is looking for a Front desk agent to assist guests with their reservations, requests and balance accounts for our Staybridge Amherst Hotel located at 1290 Sweet Home Rd, Buffalo, NY 14228. Duties include checking guests in, handling their requests and taking reservations. Ultimately, providing excellent customer service to guests and keeping the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly. You will be the friendly face to welcome guests for their stay.
The work hours are from 3:00 to 11:00pm with weekend availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check guests out or in, answer phones and take reservations
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
  • Assist with breakfast when needed
  • Process invoices for guests checking out

Sales Manager: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth across diverse markets. In this role, you will develop strategic sales plans, manage key client relationships, and spearhead initiatives to expand our customer base. The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in their assigned market segment. Accountable for prospecting goals and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact 500 Pearl banquets and events along with Aloft hotel revenues. Responsible for the direct booking of banquet and meeting space along with group rooms for various business clients. Maximize profitability and revenue of the hotel by upselling in order to achieve sales goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solicit to uncover new potential local business and penetrate existing local accounts by prospecting, organizing and executing sales blitzes, presenting to key accounts in the market and utilizing internet tool resources.
  • Use CI/TY to manage the hotel’s business, including documenting activities, soliciting business, generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.
  • Conduct a professional, and thorough site inspection of the banquet/event space and hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Create sales contracts as well as other key details such as room blocks, cut-off date, special concessions and attrition clauses and validate with clients.
  • Determine guest’s needs and discuss catering requirements, calculate costs, prepare sales proposals, suggest menu modifications in response to customer needs, and up sell services.
  • Create Banquet Event Orders and Resumes; as well, communicate with all departments about specific event needs related to that department’s staff.
  • Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups, including billing information, credit application, rooming list and VIP arrangements. Details on meeting arrangements, menus, audio-visual arrangements, etc.
  • Professionally represent the hotel by participating in client and industry functions.
  • Check function prior to guest arrival and make personal contact with client at the time of function with proper introduction of service staff who will handle the event.
  • Position requires occasional travel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have at least 2 years experience in Hospitality industry or Hotel Sales
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a competitive environment
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies that support sales growth initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach to building lasting client relationships.

Front Office Manager: Ellicott Hotels is looking for a Front Office Manager to join the hospitality team of the Aloft Buffalo Downtown at 500 Pearl. The Front Desk Manager will oversee all front desk operations within the hotel while on shift and act as general rooms lead in the event of Rooms Division Manager’s absence.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in high level guest service, front desk and office operations, inventory control and management and a basic understanding of rate and revenue management systems along with the ability to work a combination of desk shifts The right fit will require a team and positive culture awareness, the ability to anticipate the needs of our guests and the ability to make every guest interaction a positive one. A true passion for hospitality and guest service is required.

This is an ideal position for an experienced hotel front desk employee, Front Office Manager in a smaller facility, experienced Assistant Front Office Manager or Front desk supervisor who is interested in taking the next step in advancing their career.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all Marriott Standards are implemented and upheld by all front office associates
  • Be able to prioritize projects & activities pertaining to the front desk
  • Be able to resolve guest issues with a guest first mentality while maintaining hotel policies in a financially sound manner
  • Work a combination of shifts – both AM and PM as dictated by occupancy and general needs of the operation and as advised by Rooms Division Manager.

  • Must have open availability to work a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Must participate in monthly MOD schedule
  • Management of managers Cash bank.

Hotel Maintenance: Ellicott Development is searching for experienced Maintenance technicians to join our hotel maintenance team at Staybridge Inn & Suites located in Amherst, NY.

The desired candidate will have hotel maintenance experience or similar, display a professional disposition, be knowledgeable in mechanical repairs, general painting, plumbing, electrical, hvac knowledge is a plus and have problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will be friendly, trustworthy, a team player and be ready for their next career challenge.

A flexible work schedule is important as hotel maintenance is not always a Monday to Friday 1st shift position and weekends as needed. Being able to problem solve and keep to a preventative maintenance schedule is important to any successful employee.

Janitorial Supervisor: The Janitorial Supervisor will assist the Director of Janitorial/Night Supervisor in the coordination and supervision of janitorial staff and special projects. The qualified candidate will have a self-starting, outgoing personality, be willing to learn, be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the director with coordinating all work activities of janitorial personnel
  • Training all employees under your supervision
  • Inspecting and supervising their work
  • Periodic inventories of supplies and materials to ensure buildings have sufficient janitorial supplies

You must have car available for use during your work hours as you may be assigned to multiple work sites in a shift. Must have a current valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test. Related field experience is required. We offer good starting pay and benefits for full time positions. Full-time hours are generally M-F 3:30pm to 12:00am.
