14 North Street

The First Baptist Church was constructed in 1899 at the northwest corner of North and North Pearl Street. In 2011, Ellicott Development purchased this Neoclassical structure and is planning a mixed-use redevelopment. The plan includes 11 residential units offering a variety of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom layouts. In addition, the redevelopment includes a commercial space on the ground floor facing North Street.

The grandeur of the impressive stained glass windows and tall decorative ceilings of the auditorium will be transformed into awe-inspiring apartment units where bedrooms atop a second-story loft overlook an open living area. Most all of the ornate woodwork throughout the structure including the alter area will be restored in place adding great character to the apartment units. The new finishes in the residential units will offer an exciting, updated, contemporary design.
